Mindfulness Training for Schools

Mental health issues in young people are so common, it is a great pleasure to be running a mindfulness course for teachers and therapists at and College St Joseph’s Special School in Cranleigh. This eight week course, led by Healthcare On Demand practitioner Dr Louise Ennew gives teachers and other staff members key skills in how to use mindfulness approaches in their professional lives – including training colleagues in Mindfulness approaches.
We look forward to the weeks ahead, where we will explore theories of mindfulness, neuroscience, the compassionate mind, the nature of stress and anxiety, barriers and obstacles to a tranquil mind and mindfulness and compassion. We hope these skills will help teachers to bring a much needed sense to balance to children and young people in a turbulent and demanding world. We hope to offer this type of training to mainstream schools and special schools across the South East in the months ahead.
