Dr Bujarbaruah is a highly qualified, kind and compassionate Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Dr Bujarbaruah currently works in the NHS as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with Berkshire Healthcare NHS Trust and privately at the Healthcare On Demand Clinic in Guildford, Surrey.
Dr Bujarbaruah has expertise in assessing and treating a wide and varied range of psychiatric disorders and neurodevelopmental conditions affecting children and young people.
Dr Bujarbaruah completed her Core Training in Psychiatry from Oxford under the Oxford Training Programme. She then went onto complete her extensive Higher Specialist Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from London under the St. George’s and South West London Taining Programme.
Dr Bujarbaruah was awarded Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrist (MRCPsych) in 2011. Dr Bujarbaruah was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training and has been on the General Medical Council Specialist Register as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist since 2015.
Dr Bujarbaruah has a strong passion for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and finds it an extremely captivating and rewarding specialty. For her, the combination of different scientific disciplines covering such diverse areas as neuroscience, psychology and social-sciences all directly involved in an individual’s care make it a fascinating specialty providing a holistic approach to care.
Dr Bujarbaruah is enthusiastic, caring and compassionate and her excellent interpersonal skills and empathic nature assist in rapport-building and helps to build a solid trusting therapeutic relationship with children, young people and their families/carers and with her multidisciplinary team. This has been widely evidenced by the 360-degree-appraisals/assessments and general feedback both oral and written by her clients and her multidisciplinary team.
Dr Bujarbaruah truly enjoys the element of multidisciplinary and multiagency team work which includes psychologists, family therapists, psychotherapists, mental health nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, SALT etc. and strongly believes that each member of the team plays a pivotal role in making an individual’s care complete.
Dr Bujarbaruah has a wide experience in teaching and management. She has had broad experience in teaching groups with different professionals and multiple learning objectives including regular teaching in the MRCPsych course in Springfield University Hospital, South West London and St George’s NHS Trust.
Dr Bujarbaruah organised and facilitated various Communications Skills workshops for Trainees in Psychiatry in Oxford Deanery and actively facilitated the CASC workshops as part of the MRCPsych Examination Course in St. George’s and South West London NHS Trust with excellent feedback.
Dr Bujarbaruah is a trained supervisor of core and higher trainee specialist doctors in psychiatry and also remains actively involved in medical student teaching.

For patients covered by other insurers appointments will require self-funding from the family and may be recaimed from your health insurer as wished.
Referrals can be made directly by patients as well as GPs, schools or other healthcare professionals and Dr Bujarbaruah will assess each referral individually.
Appointments & Fees
Initial Assessment appointments by Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists usually last approx. 90 minutes. Complex Child & Adolescent Psychiatry cases can take up to 2.5 hours and can be done either in one assessment session or two separate assessment sessions whichever is the most convenient to parents and the child. The child or young person and their parents will be sent an outcome/clinical letter following the appointment.
- Initial assessment [including the clinical letter] – £300 per hour.
- Follow-up consultations – £300 (approx 60 minutes) or £160 (approx 30 minutes)
On requesting an appointment via our online booking system, the practitioner may well call you to confirm details before you meet. This initial telephone discussion of up to 10 minutes is free of charge, and is designed to confirm that it is indeed appropriate to proceed to a full consultation and is not designed to replace a consultation.
Dr Bujarbaruah will accept self funding patients. Payment should be made on the day of the appointment. Cash, cheques and bank transfers are accepted. Please contact to discuss payment options if needed.
If a prescription is issued within an appointment then there is no additional fee.
Requests to reschedule appointments will be accommodated wherever possible.
